Let's face it; we live in a fast-paced world, and online shopping is quickly overtaking big-box stores. With today's technology, it's possible to order products from around the globe and have them delivered straight to your door; but nothing is more annoying than over-cluttered websites that are difficult to navigate and hard to understand! At Dean McLeod Photography, our online print store (this website!) employs powerful technology that finally makes ordering simple, fast and straightforward with full security.
First Things First
There are two pages available in the menu bar at the top of this page entitled "Print Styles" and "Visualize It". They are loaded with great information in order to familiarize yourself with the print styles (or 'mediums') that I offer, the differences between them and what they will look like in your home or office. After browsing through these two pages, you'll be well on your way to choosing which mediums may be the right fit for your own space.
Off To The Galleries
Next is the "Galleries" page which is also located above in the menu bar; this is where all of the imagery is available for you to view. My current portfolio of photographs are separated into nine different categories; scroll down to find a category that interests you and click on the thumbnail photo. Once inside your chosen gallery, scroll to view the images inside. If you find one that you like, click on it. This will land you on a page especially dedicated to that photograph.
The Print Pages
This is where you can have a really great view of your photo in high resolution. Click on the photo and it will enlarge full screen to give you an amazing view of the details and colors. To exit full-screen mode, just click the "X" on the top-right corner of the photo.
A description below the image contains the title of the photo, it's location and some personal thoughts on the image. Scroll down the page to view the four print styles which are currently available.
Choose Your Print Style and Size
After choosing your print style, click on it's corresponding drop-down menu underneath "Select a print size" where all of the available sizes and prices are listed. Click on the size of your choice, then click the "Add to Cart" button. This will take you to the SHOPPING CART page.
The Shopping Cart
This page makes it simple to visually confirm your print choice(s). If you have a discount code, you can enter it below and click "Apply". Over to the right, click on the "Shipping" text field and choose your country. Your total is displayed below.
Two Payment Options
The website is integrated with two payment systems, PayPal and Stripe, both of which are highly secure and updated regularly with the latest encryption technology.
To choose PayPal, click the yellow PayPal button. You will be redirected to a PayPal secure server where your information will be gathered. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to use this payment method. An email confirmation will be sent to you, confirming your order.
To choose Stripe, click the blue "Pay with Card" button. A pop-up window will be displayed, where you can enter your information. A confirmation email will be sent to you, confirming your order.
Both companies are very similar, with Stripe being more streamlined for simplicity. The choice is yours!
Custom, Volume and International Orders
If you have a custom order request, wish to inquire about volume discounts or simply have a few questions before making an order, please feel free to message me through my contact form before making your order. I am always happy to answer questions! Also, for international orders outside North America, please contact me first for a custom shipping quote.
What Happens Next?
Once payment is made, your new fine art print will be put into production within 24 hours and a personal email will be sent to you with some extra details. Typically, you can expect a production and delivery time of 3-4 weeks or sooner depending on your print style of choice.
The master printers that I employ are also experts in shipping valuable fine art. Every order will be shipped in a custom crate designed for your art piece so that it will arrive in perfect condition at your home or office. It will be fully insured, and once it ships, I will email you a personal tracking number.
Shipping companies require that you inspect your shipment within 48 hours of receiving it. It is not uncommon to have some dings and gouges on your custom crate, but if the packaging has SEVERE damage and you fear that your art piece may also be damaged inside, it is important to REFUSE DELIVERY. It is always a good idea to take a few pictures of the packaging before they take it away. Email me as soon as possible so that I may rectify the problem and put a new order into production if needed.
Your Certificate of Authenticity
All of the images available on my website are strictly Limited Editions to protect the value of your investment. My signature and your edition number will be digitally embedded on the bottom right-hand corner of your art piece in an unobtrusive manner. An official Certificate of Authenticity complete with details of the artwork and a serialized hologram will be mailed to you separately to accompany your new artwork for additional provenance.
Nominal Shipping Fees
The award-winning printers that I employ are chosen because of their mastery in fine art printing using proprietary methods found no where else in the world. As they are located in the United States, I am able to offer free shipping within the continental U.S., whereas Canadian orders require a nominal shipping fee which covers the extra freight and duty fees when your artwork crosses the border. On a continuing basis, I work closely with brokers and freight companies to secure the most reasonable rates available to keep the costs at a bare minimum.
All of the print prices on this website include custom crating, freight and insurance.
