Articles, Tips, And Tutorials: Subjects & Places: Beautiful Waterfall Pictures And Photography Prints
Three Sisters | South Canmore, Alberta

Rising dramatically in the foreground of the Canadian Rockies, the Three Sisters mountain peaks dominate the skyline of Kananaskis Country. Just south of the charming mountain town of Canmore, these majestic summits captivate the attention of anyone who sets eyes on them, often serving as a landmark for travelers and nature lovers alike.
As most photographs of the peaks are commonly taken from similar viewpoints in the valley, I sought to capture a new perspective of the Three Sisters that had never been seen before—one where the peaks are complemented by the energy of water.
After extensive scouting, I found the perfect vantage point where a cascading waterfall flowed in the foreground, creating a beautiful visual contrast against the towering peaks behind it. This composition, blending the stillness of the mountain range at sunrise with the movement of the water, offered a new narrative of the Three Sisters' beauty.
Since I first photographed this unique perspective, others have attempted to replicate it, but it remains a personal milestone in my journey as a photographer. It is a reminder of the significance of seeing nature not just as it is, but in the fresh and uncharted ways that allow its true charm to be revealed.
