Professional custom framing will elevate your beautiful photography print to a higher level of refinement. Beautiful wood frames will also add grandeur to the environment in your home with the ability to remain eclectic in design on their own, or to blend with your interior décor and architecture.
It is my opinion that fine art landscape and nature photography is an incredibly dynamic medium that deserves to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Finishing your limited edition print with a rich, luxurious wooden frame adds depth, meaning, and permanence to the work itself.

If you are considering custom framing for your a photography print but the thought of choosing a frame makes you intimidated by the sheer number of options, rest assured that the process is very simple where I provide professional assistance from the start.
There is no need for the inconvenience and expense of searching online for custom framers, as I fully provide this service for any image in my collection.
It is one of the best decisions you can make toward enhancing, personalizing, and adding value to your art.
Which Print Styles Are Available With Framing?
Lumachrome® TruLife® Acrylic prints are my most highly recommended print style, and are also available with a full range of custom external frames, in which case we delete the normal recessed floating frame and add a custom external frame which incorporates a 'D-ring' hanging system.

These exquisite framed works of art are called 'Charity Editions', because a portion of the proceeds from each of these prints will be donated to CPAWS, a wonderful environmental charity.
Note that the ChromaLuxe® HD print style is fabricated as frameless only. I do not offer external framing for these prints, however it is possible to order them without the hidden floating frame, as explained below.
Can You Frame A ChromaLuxe® HD Print Yourself?
The short answer is yes, you can. Please note that this print style is usually intended to be presented frameless, which means that a recessed floater frame is normally attached to the back of the print which becomes invisible after hanging, making the print appear to 'float' on your wall.
If you would like to add an external frame to your ChromaLuxe® HD print after you receive it, please contact me with your intentions at the time of ordering so that I can make sure the rear floating frame is deleted for you.
Your framer will then attach alternative hanging hardware to the external frame. Please note that placing glass over these print styles only adds distracting glare, so it is not recommended or required.
Alternatively, if you are looking for a framed artwork I highly recommend a Charity Edition framed Lumachrome® TruLife® acrylic print instead. I have full access to the entire catalogs offered by Italian framing experts Roma® and Omega® which are explained in full detail below.
This will save you time, money, and the inconvenience of hiring an expensive third-party framer which also adds the additional risk that your print can be damaged in the process.
Store-bought Versus Custom Framing
You may be familiar with the typical pre-manufactured photo frames and mat board that can be purchased at many big box stores, found in a variety of standard sizes to fit most photographs or poster prints. The purpose of the matting is to give your art a more finished look.
These frames are usually made with inexpensive wood, metal, or plastic materials and may not be acid-free, which can damage or yellow your artwork over time.
Also, the sheet of glass that is usually included in the kit may add distracting glare, and rarely has any ultraviolet light protection, which can lead to fading and discoloration of the art.

Gallery-Quality Custom Framing
The images below show the dramatic differences in quality and construction of a custom framed Charity Edition Lumachrome® TruLife® acrylic print.
First, there is no glass required because the face of the photograph is covered with TruLife® acrylic, which is extremely durable, scratch resistant, and offers 99% UV protection while vastly eliminating reflections and glare.
The linen liners are made of wood and covered with linen cloth, which provides additional depth, beauty, and an overall finished look to the art piece. Note that when you order a framed print, you do not necessarily need to include a linen liner; it simply depends on the look and style that you are trying to achieve.
Once the print, linen liner, and frame are assembled, the rear of the print is then covered with an archival fabric whose role is to prevent dust and contaminants from damaging the print as well as providing a museum-quality, finished look to the art piece.
Two strong D-rings on the back of the print are used for the hanging system which combine with hooks that will be placed on your wall, as seen in this special mounting tutorial for framed prints.

Keeping It Simple: My Recommendations
I understand that the sheer number of options available for a custom frame can be overwhelming. The good news is that I am here to streamline the process and make it as simple as possible.
To that end, below I have curated some of the most beautiful, elegant and popular frames available from both Roma® and Omega® which are sure to spark your creativity.
Keep in mind that the possibilities are vast, but rest assured you will gain confidence in choosing the right frame for your art piece after viewing these selections.

Above, this coastal sunset image was printed at 40"x40". The exquisite frame is a Roma® Tabacchino 4-inch scoop in the 'Dark Ash' color. The linen liner is the 3-inch flat/beveled edge style in black. The total dimensions of the piece after framing is approximately 54 inches square.

This winter scene is printed at 32"x40". The frame is an Omega® 4" Light Aluminum scoop coupled with a 2-1/2" white linen liner. Although the coloring may look like metal, these frames are made of wood. Note how the frame and liner combination compliment the cool winter tones in a fresh and striking manner. Overall dimensions after the framing are 44"x52".

For this waterfall photograph above, there is no linen liner, and the print is mounted such that it appears to 'float' within the frame. There is a 1/4" gap all the way around the acrylic, for a unique and creative look. The frame is a Roma® Lavo in Matte Charcoal, and the ripples in the wood accentuate the textures in the rocks and water of the image. A perfect example of how you can tap your creativity and think outside of the box.
