The symmetry of Sunwapta Falls is one of nature's wonders, where a tiny island of trees sits perfectly in the middle of the Sunwapta River, just before the glacial meltwater plunges over 60 feet into a pool below.

Sunwapta is an indigenous Stoney word meaning 'turbulent water', and is a must-see along the famous Icefields Parkway 53 kilometres south of the town of Jasper, Alberta.
